Temáticas

Las temáticas del Seminario han cambiado con el tiempo, de acuerdo a la evolución que las temáticas de la investigación en ciencias del mar en el país. Para las últimas versiones se pueden resumir en 8 que son las más representativas. Las cinco primeras han estado presentes en casi todos los eventos, mientras que las tres últimas temáticas fueron apareciendo aproximadamente a partir de la IX versión realizada en la ciudad de Medellín:

· VAR: Valoración y Aprovechamiento de Recursos Marinos

· OCE: Oceanografía y Clima

· GEM: Geología Marina

· CAM: Calidad Ambiental Marina

· CED: Cultura y Educación

· POL: Política y Legislación (Zonas Costeras)

· ITM: Ingeniería y Tecnología Marina

By these days, this image is repeated along Peruvian coastal border. Here you can see this interesting video.

Birds are everywhere

A (mini) macroalgal bloom at Central Peru (La Punta, Callao)

This appear be a recurrent state in this small ecosystem called 'La Arenilla'.

     Although these macroalgae (Ulva spp.) extensions (< 2 km) do not reach the large dimensions of other cases (Liu et al., 2013. Click here to read the paper), they occupy a relatively large area of this site, providing protection for larval and juvenile fish species.
